I have taught children, teens, adults and the elderly. My focus is to help individuals embrace their creativity while also helping improve their painting, collage making, drawing, perspective, and color skills. (I've taught children as young as three and as old as sixteen years old. I’ve taught adults ranging from 20s-70’s +) I’ve taught with “Studio In A School”, Pre-schools, small group classes (adults, teens and kids), community art workshops and one on one art lessons (for children, teens, adults, and the elderly) All these works are examples from large and small scale adolescent instruction. The Projects show are self-portrait collages, collages of our homes, collage focused on perspective, still life of sunflowers, still life of fruit, still life of tea pot, abstract portraits in oil pastel, and drawings of owls.
These are examples of student work based off a lesson about how artist use mark making in different ways. The two artist I showed the student were Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O'Keefe. I encouraged the student to experiment and come up with her own works inspired by the artists.
